3. What Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information You Provide Directly

When you complete a form on our Site — a workshop registration, a contact enquiry, a scoping request, or similar — we collect the information you submit. This typically includes your name, company name, role, email address, and any free-text description of what you're exploring.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting and analytics providers. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and general geographic location (usually at city or country level, not precise coordinates).

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 9 and our separate Cookie Policy for full details on how these technologies are used and how you can manage your preferences.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide the information or services you request
  • To contact you about workshops you've registered interest in
  • To scope and propose engagements you've asked us to evaluate
  • To send you occasional communications about our services, events, or publications — only where you have expressed interest or provided consent
  • To improve our Site, our services, and our understanding of what visitors find useful
  • To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of KMS, our clients, or others

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Under Singapore's PDPA and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions, we process your personal information based on:

Consent

When you submit a form, register for a workshop, or otherwise provide information voluntarily.

Legitimate Business Interests

Such as responding to enquiries you've initiated or communicating about services you've expressed interest in.

Legal Obligation

Where we're required to retain or disclose information by applicable law or regulation.

6. Who We Share Information With

We share limited personal information with trusted service providers who support our operations, under contractual data protection obligations.

We share information with these providers only to the extent necessary for them to perform their services. We do not authorise them to use your information for their own marketing or unrelated purposes. We may also disclose information when legally required — in response to court orders, subpoenas, regulatory requests, or to protect our legal rights.

7. International Transfers

KMS operates in Singapore and Southeast Asia, but some of our service providers (Brevo, Google, LinkedIn, Gamma) may process or store data in the United States, European Union, or other jurisdictions. Where personal information is transferred outside Singapore, we rely on the data protection provisions of those providers' terms and on standard contractual safeguards. By using the Site, you consent to these international transfers.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, and to comply with our legal and operational requirements.

Up to 3 Years

Form submissions and enquiries — retained from the last meaningful interaction.

Duration + 7 Years

Active client records — retained for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.

Until Removed

Workshop registration lists — retained until you unsubscribe or request removal.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function, to analyse visitor behaviour, and to improve user experience. For full details, see our separate Cookie Policy.

10. Your Rights

Under the PDPA and equivalent regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access

The right to access the personal information we hold about you.

Correct

The right to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Withdraw Consent

The right to withdraw consent for us to continue processing your information.

Request Deletion

The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Opt Out

The right to opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email, or by contacting us directly.

11. How We Protect Your Information

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and disclosure. This includes encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls on our business systems, and contractual obligations on our service providers. No system is completely secure, but we work to minimise risk.

12. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we've inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users of the change. Your continued use of the Site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
